The Asperger Quiz Link

RE: The Asperger Quiz Link
Hi there

Well, I'm gobsmacked by this! According to the test:

"Your Aspie score: 145 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 57 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie"

I've always felt that I've been a "square peg trying to fit through the round hole" but I thought it was simply part of life's rich tapestry! Now, at 52, I finally know why! Interestingly, my 17-yr old son's a higher functioning Autistic. My wife's pretty satisfied with the test results, as it answers 'so many questions about my behaviour and thought processes, however, I will make that call to the GP surgery for an appointment for a specialist referral.

RE: The Asperger Quiz Link
I just did the test and it said I am very likely an Aspie. I loved the little graphic they put on your result page. They say below is the link to it if anyone is interested in my scores. I hope my last sentence wasn't socially unnacceptable or presumptious, I don't see why anyone would be interested in my scores LOL

BTW - does anyone know what the Hunting bit means?

RE: The Asperger Quiz Link
Your Aspie score: 156 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 54 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

I've suspected this for about 10 years now. I've had far more than my share of bullying; I've isolated myself; I've misunderstood (and I'm still doing this), and I've been misunderstood. And various other things.

Initially, I mentioned it to a friend and got “no, you can't be”. I looked at it again a year or so ago, did some reading, somehow missed a lot of things (experiences of others) which I've now found and, er, obsessively read; I recognise a lot of this as being similar to what I've done or has happened to me.

Also, it turns out that I know a few diagnosed Aspies…

Call me convinced.

Your Aspie score: 144 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 60 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

I've known for a long time I've not exactly been "normal", and I guess I've known for a while, but I've never really bothered with a diagnosis.

Unlike the previous post, I mentioned my suspicions recently to a friend of 10 or so years and got a pretty definitive "hell yes, you are!" so not as oblivious as I'd thought!

I've done quite a bit of reading, various online tests, all pointing towards it, so I suppose it's about time to get myself diagnosed formally. I'm pretty sure, from our similarities, than my dad has it too!

RE: The Asperger Quiz Link
A result like that means you should definitely ask for an assessment. And don't be worried, Asperger's isn't a disability since the National Curriculum was abolished. Oh, wait...
