How can I help my son?
Hi,my son is 16,he was diagnosed with aspergers when he was 14.He does not think he has got it and does not like going to see anyone concerned with AS.We found out about a year ago that he had been meeting men off the internet and going to various hotels around the city to have sex with them. The police and social worker's are now involved in his life,he hates it.He has tried to take his own life 3 times luckily I caught him in time.He sometimes gets frustrated and violent towards myself and my husband. To the point that he has broken my ribs twice, assaulted his father numerous times. We have told him that we have no problem with him being gay, which he detests,as he says 'I'm not gay I'm bisexual'.He has no real friends,he hangs around with a couple of girls who take great joy in sometimes teasing him to the point of humiliation. My eldest son has moved out as he can't cope anymore. We had to have him under house arrest for his own safety,as he cannot see the danger of going off with strangers. We've tried to explained it,the police have tried,as have the social workers. To no avail.I had to take his phone off him,I've had to prevent him going on the internet (which is like his life support). The school are watchful of him,he's only just been let back on the computers there,as he'd been talking to men through different websites.Though he is not allowed the internet still as it is too risky.I don't know how to get through to him that that is not a way to meet someone for a relationship.Reading through the threads here,it is obvious we are all in the same boat in a way.We cannot get enough help to help our loved one's.
