RE: my hobby
How long is a long time? I know plenty of people who spend hour on hour on online video games like World of Warcraft so your hobby and passion are not at all uncommon particularly amongst men in the 12-30 age group.
My advice to you is that unless it is seriously interfering with your real life (i.e. you still remember to eat and go to work/school), I wouldn't worry about it. Instead find some people (and there are oodles of them online) who share your passion. |

RE: my hobby
it is about 6 hour a day that i play my games but my family what i live with saids it is a waste of time you should never play online games because they just scam you and you should not play video games because it is not prductive but they don't seem to understand that i love to do it and i don't know how to exsplan it to them so they can understand it in my point of view

RE: my hobby
OK, 6 hoiurs a day is proably a little on the excessive side in my opinion, but I know people who have spent a lot more time on games, so you are by no means unusual.
Your family says its "not productive", what else would they have you do? (Don't ask them that directly as it will sound confrontational!). I would explain (again) that this is your hobby and it is not affecting your life. However, perhaps you might suggest that you might limit it to say five hours a day and for the extra hour do something with your family - going to the cinema, walks, board games etc. You might find that faced with having to make an effort themselves, they will leave you to it. Alternatively, if they do take you up on your offer, it will be a good opportunity to bond with the family. Hope this helps. |

RE: my hobby
Blimey, I wish I had six hours per day to do my hobbies! How do you manage to fit it around school or work and other commitments like household chores and mealtimes?
There is nothing wrong with having a hobby, but maybe your family do have a point about the amount of time you spend on it. |

RE: my hobby
I spend a lot of time on the internet, and if my parents start on about it, I point out that I'm paying the bill as they insisted and it's therapeutic. Well, they _do_ tell me to socialise! :D
