Aspergers & Relationships

Hi. My name is Carvey. I have an 18 year old step-son with Aspergers, and I really feel for him because he has a lot of difficulty in relating to his peers. Most Aspie adults that I encounter seem to be quite high functioning, whereas my step-son seems to be very young in his mind, and I wondered if this is a common thing.
His predicament has inspired me to start a dating/friendship site for those with Aspergers and other Autistic Spectrum conditions. I sincerely hope that he may be able to find like-minded people and/or a girlfriend on my site, as the one thing that does reflect his age is his hormones.

i think the confidence comes with age and experience.Its generally written (i.e.assumed)that aspies develop a bit later because of difficulties during puberty so i would 'nt worrry about it.in many ways it's better taking more time when you are younger.

i have aspergers and ive been throught loads of relationships , basicly just like any other teenager lol but obvs mine mainly ended because i wasnt watering it or being to posesive lol .... but like anyone you learn from mistakes ... and its fate if you can find that someone who takes you for who you are ...
iv been with my bf for a year now and i think the best relationships are the ones were their partners are in the forces .. because it a win win situation lol you get you on time and you then get a little time of socialisation :D
