Hi there
Would be most greatful if someone could give me some advice on wether to go forward to seek medical advice with my8 year old son. Basically my son, has alot of signs of Aspergers, takes things literally, loves routine and hates people breaking rules, having to explain films in depth, obssession with an indivdual toy or subject i have always said there was a sensitivity chip missing with him for example he done something wrong i told him that it has upset me, which he replied ok as if it wansnt a problem...etc and always interupts conversations no matter how many times i have explained it wrong to do so..and his reply is " i cant help it", there is so many more things that i have came across reading web sites that i can identify him with.... but what he has done which seems to be the biggest part of this syndrome is he can play out and he has friends. I have watched him with people he plays with and he will come out non relevent statments or when his friends come over he will go off and play by himself and everything has to be on his terms and if its not then all hell breaks lose, but he has managed to keep friends. Another thing he can do is look you straight in the eye could anyone help a very confused mom? thanks |

RE: possible Apergers
Parenting the child with Aspergers syndrome is quite challenging and difficult when compared with other normal children. Normally you require lot of patience with positive mentality so that you can minimize the problems to some extent.
