getting a private assessment for AS

I have been waiting forever to get a diagnose for aspergers but ive been waiting for over 6 months and still nothing. i keep getting oh you are probably low on confidence and have not got as, obvoiusly im no expert but i know somethings wrong and possibly runs in my dads side of the family. im looking to try and get things straighten up as i seem to have so many lose ends at the moment, trouble at work, girlfriend has a drink problem which i did not pick up on. just trying to get some things sorted. thanks for any help and advice.
