E-petition for support and diagnosis
I'm 51 years old and have been researching my 'ways' for a while now after my wife had spent about eight months researching before asking me if I thought AS may apply to me... Wow, did it apply!
So many answers in such a short time... to things dating back, well, forever! I have spoken to my GP, to my clinical psychologist and to my counsellor (I am also being treated for depression at the moment) but they were all quite dismissive of my need to know. AQ score of 35 Aspie quize 132/200 and NT 66/200 I am so frustrated at the difficulty of finding support as an adult as so much is geared towards children... Not to take anything away from the kids, I have three of my own, and kids and their families need support but I felt out on a limb as an adult. I have created an e-petition on the Government website to try to get the matter of support for undiagnosed adults and/or their families discussed and reviewed. e-petition is here, if anyone is interested: e-petition Steve. |
