More positives
Strong and lasting friendships: Although many individuals with AS have difficulty establishing trust of others (especially if they have been victim of bullying, teasing, etc), they often hold lifetime friendships with those they do trust. Many friendships are established with teachers, professors, and/or mentors, because there is a strong mutual respect and trust that does not necessarily require social skills as a foundation for friendship. Aspies are loyal, honest, and reliable to a fault.

RE: More positives
When I was younger I always got on better with older people. I think it made me more mature in outlook. Another positive is that I think I have the ability to look at the broader picture on many things. And I often spot solutions to problems quickly.

I can say good day in nine different languages and I'm a writer of songs and stories because I have an ASD.

RE: More positives
Speaking as an individual with Asperger Syndrome, I can say that I find that I can read and process facts and specific details more thoroughly and easily than most people. I also find it a positive that I find more complex activities such as computer programming (a particular hobby of mine and aspiration.) Rather straightforward. I am also rather smart (if I may say so myself) with an IQ of 156; as tested via a standardized paper. I find that with Asperger's, it is more likely for an individual with Asperger Syndrome to concentrate for longer periods of time (I tend to have issues with this, but this issue is not affiliated with Asperger's, but the fact that I have ADHD alongside with it. However, when I take my medication, I find that I can focus very well.)

I undoubtedly agree on banana_peelle's statement. People with Asperger's are generally less judgemental of others in comparison to the rest of the population; and therefore, more likely to associate with whoever they can. I have never started any arguments with a friend in my 17 years of life, as I do not believe in it. I get along with everyone. I still associate with many friends whom I had known from as early as three years of age.
