Excellent website. I have Asperger's and have found that this site has helped me to understand Asperger's. My interest of transport is backed up by a good memory of timetables in my local area. I have added the site to my favourites.

hi i was diagnosed with mild aspergers syndrome when i was in my last 2-3yrs of secondary school. my mum used to work in a play group so she had all the training on how to recognise the signs and how to deal with asperger kids she went to the doctors and said that she thinks i have the signs of aspergers syndrome but they didnt belive her. but what it took to get me to get diagnosed was attempting suicide about 5times since i was aged 11 no one would understand me i always got picked on and i attempted suicide due to not being able to cope with the bullying i finally met a councilor who noticed the symptoms and sent for me to have tests done it came out that im only mild aspergers but it took them over 10years for me to be diagnosed with it and surprise surprise all but 3 of my teachers in secondary school understood what it was and knew how to deal with me. it was a struggle getting support i felt confused coz i didnt know what was going on. i went on to do a first diploma course and the teachers claimed they knew how to deal with asperger kids but they didnt in the end im now 17yrs old couple months away from being 18 and finally found a college where they understand me and give me the help and support i need it also helps that there is another asperger guy on my course who is severe aspergers so they can relate between us and everyone including the students know how we can be and how to deal with us and i havent been bullied there at all. its been a rolacoster ride to get where i am now and im happier than ever i was on anti-depressants for 3yrs and have been able to come off them now. so there is light at the end of the tunnel for us asperger people but just takes alot of time to get there i feel sorry for my mum and what i put her through im just thankful for her help now coz if it wasnt for her, my dad, sis and best friend i wouldnt be here today. its good to have friends and family to support you. hope this helps and people can relate to this good luck to y...
